About AmyLou
I’m AmyLou Fouillet, an intuitive artist and creative facilitator exploring the relationship between colour, texture, movement, and emotional expression.
My work began during a period of deep personal change, when creativity slowly became less about producing something beautiful and more about listening. Through painting, layering, mark-making, and sensory exploration, I discovered a quieter way of processing experience, one that softened the need for perfection and invited honesty back into my creative process.
I’m drawn to the moments where things remain unfinished. The layers beneath the surface. The textures that emerge when we stop trying to force an outcome.
Over time, painting has become a practice of observation, presence, and trust.
This space documents my artwork, writings, prints, and the evolving development of Colour Cabin, a growing creative world centred around colour, artistic process, visual storytelling, creativity, and gentle emotional healing through expression.
Alongside my studio practice, I occasionally hold seasonal creative experiences inspired by the philosophy of Breath. Pause. Create. Gentle spaces where colour, movement, texture, and material become invitations to reconnect with intuition, expression, emotional release, and the quieter rhythms of creativity in a more honest and unfiltered way.
Whether through paintings, pottery, words, or shared creative experiences, my work is an exploration of what unfolds when we allow ourselves to create without needing to arrive anywhere in particular. Letting the process be a mirror into my emotional wellbeing
Alongside my creative practice, I’ve spent many years exploring holistic wellbeing, intuitive development, and energy-based approaches to healing and self-awareness.
My background includes training in Reiki (Level 2), Therapeutic Art Coaching, Massage Therapy, Aroma Point Therapy, Sound Healing, Intuitive Development, and holistic coaching modalities including Chopra Life Coaching and Enlightened Empath Coaching. I also have a background in floristry and continue to study naturopathy and integrative approaches to wellbeing.
While my work is increasingly rooted in artistic process and creative exploration, these studies continue to inform the quieter layers of my practice. Particularly my interest in presence, intuition, emotional expression, ritual, and the relationship between creativity and the nervous system.
